This session is designed to help IT professionals responsible for Oracle licensing within their organization to understand the three key components of Oracle Licensing Optimization: Compliance, Complexity, and Configuration. The session unravels the increasing complexities of the Oracle Licensing landscape and provides insight on how to gain an understanding of licensing costs and the impact on your company.

The goal is to increase understanding of licensing options in order to facilitate better decision making and cost-savings. We will explore licensing specifics for on premise and cloud solutions, the impact of using virtualization technology, and provide technical insight and strategic business-oriented guidance around configuration as a key component of optimization success.

Ted Yates, Regional Manager for Oracle Licensing, DBAK

Ted comes to us directly from Oracle with 4 years of technology licensing experience. At Oracle, he helped customers license hosted environments, virtualized environments, hybrid off & on premise environments, and on premise partitioned environments from an Oracle technology standpoint. Ted has also been involved directly in Oracle license compliance audits and seen them to a happy resolve from both the customers’ perspective and Oracle’s perspective. He brings deep knowledge of Oracle technology and a broad perspective of the growing Cloud landscape and implications for IT organizations.
